For we writers supersede
other professions:
against all doctors,
words heal and give life
against all men of business,
we let words flow and this be our wealth
against all priests and philosophers,
we feed the starving mind and soul
against all soldiers,
we fight, with not a single drop of blood shed
against all chefs,
we give more than just bodily nourishment
against entertainers,
we are what they speak
against all architects and engineers,
we provide the foundation of life
But we writers are equals of artists,
we understand life and immortalize identity
and beauty by our own craft
yet at the end of the day
we writers, as well as all other professions,
fall short under the greatest one of all:
a teacher.
